Del Lago Local Rules

Rules of Golf Apply to all Play, except where modified by the local rules OR such temporary rules posted prior to league play.

For reasons such as safety and pace of play, these local rules apply:

  • Penalty Areas – All desert areas and bodies of water should be played as RED Penalty Areas.
  • Hole Pickup – Player must pick up after the 13th stroke on any hole and mark 13 on their scorecard. If player chooses to pick up prior to 13 strokes, player must still mark 13 on their scorecard.  EXCEPTIONS:  Player MUST play out all holes to be eligible for Low Gross/Low Net rounds, i.e., Club Championship, Medallion Qualifiers, Ace, and any other rounds deemed necessary.
  • Hole #2 – Desert area between the tee box and the fairway, player may choose to play a provisional ball to maintain Pace of Play.
  • Hole #11 – Lower level on the left side of the fairway may be played as a RED Penalty Area.

Cart Paths

  • Several areas have been filled in with cold mix asphalt.  For example, Hole #4 by the green and Hole #14 by the green.  This is not natural wear and tear, but rather an extension of the cart path.
  • Take free relief back into the general area of play.

Bunkers - Effective 3/28/24

  • All course bunkers are deemed waste bunkers.

  • Lift, clean, rake, and place is in effect.

  • Grounding the club and practice swings allowed.

  • No Penalty.


Ground Under Repair

  • On Hole #2, the bunker on the right side of the green is ground under repair.  A player may drop the ball within one club length of the nearest point of relief, no closer to the pin.
  • On Hole #3, the bunker on the front, left side of the green is ground under repair.  A player may drop the ball within one club length of the nearest point of relief, no closer to the pin.
  • On Hole #9, the fairway bunker on the right side of the fairway, before the green, is ground under repair.  A player may drop the ball within one club length of the nearest point of relief, no closer to the pin.
  • On Hole #10, the fairway bunker on the right side of the fairway is ground under repair.   A player may drop the ball within one club length of the nearest point of relief, no closer to the pin.
